The strong graphic qualities of Yolngu artworks allow for fabrics to be transformed beautifully into anything from tablecloths, curtains and cushion covers to more complex garments such as dresses, skirts and shirts. Through copyright licensing payments, our artists receive income for their artworks in screen designs. For fabric care, wash by hand or delicate machine, do not bleach, do not tumble dry. Need longer lengths or something customised, contact us!

Bula’Bula has steadily developed its screen-printing capability to provide local employment for Yolngu. Each fabric is handprinted in Ramingining. These fabrics are unique and may have slight imperfections due the making process. They are not perfect, but they are still terrific!

These fabrics are professionally printed offsite and therefore no imperfections. We print offsite because Ramingining has strong Aboriginal governance, cultural and familial obligations. This means our artworkers may be away for ceremony or travelling. Printing offsite keeps consistency for the business, and allows us to cater for larger orders and also keeps Yolngu culture strong.
