Galnga Bäru Dhawu
Crocodile Skin Story
Stop Motion Animation
(2024)
Galnga Bäru Dhawu (Crocodile Skin Story) is a school holiday project narrated by Peter Gämbung and created by children from the Ramingining community. Using stop-motion animation, the film tells the story of the crocodile skin trade through a creative and cultural lens. The project was directed and facilitated by animator Jonathan Daw, who guided the young participants in developing their animation skills. This initiative was proudly supported by the East Arnhem Land Youth Model through ALPA.
