Mali is a highly regarded member of the Ramingining community. She is a ranger for the Gurruwiling, Arafura Swamp Rangers, and a dedicated member of the NORFORCE infantry regiment of the Australian Army Reserve. She is also a talented fibre artist and in her spare time creates ŋaniyal with techniques learnt from her mother.
