Taris is an early career artist who recently started painting at Bula’Bula Arts in 2022. He learnt to paint by watching his Aunties Joy Burruna, Joy Borruwa, Dorothy Djampalil and Evonne Rraraypum. He paints story lines and song lines inherited from his Wagilag clan, including Ngambi (spear tips) from the Wagilag creation story. When Taris isn’t painting at Bula’Bula Arts he is working as an arts worker, helping with day to day duties around the centre.
