Payment to artists
Bula’bula Arts Aboriginal Corporation is a not-for-profit, community-based, Aboriginal owned centre with over 150 artist members. Each purchased artwork supports the artist and their family as well as Bula’bula Arts operational costs. We are one of the only locally owned businesses in Ramingining and supporting our centre and our artists have a great impact on our town.
It is important to us that you are happy with your purchase, if not we will refund you for the value of the artwork, minus the freight costs. You must notify the art centre within two weeks of receiving the artwork if you would like a refund. You need only pay the cost of returning the painting to the art centre. The artwork must be returned in its original condition with all of its accompanying documentation for the guarantee to apply. When the artwork is received, you will receive your refund.
Bula’bula Arts works to ensure that all items for purchase on the website are available and correctly priced. Enquiries about artwork will be addressed as soon as possible to confirm availability; however, on occasion, power outages and other impediments due to our remote location mean that we may not always be able to respond in a timely manner.
All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars.
Please clearly nominate a delivery address. Unfortunately, we cannot deliver to PO Boxes. Minimum delivery time is usually three to four weeks after the item has been sent by Bula’bula Arts. Artwork is freighted once payment has been cleared.
Duties and taxes
Bula’bula Arts sells artwork to the public on behalf of the artist on a consignment basis. Therefore, paintings sold are Goods and Services Tax (GST) exempt. When shipping paintings overseas, the purchaser is liable for any duties or taxes payable specific to the country of import.
Bula’bula Arts accepts Visa, Mastercard, Amex and direct bank transfers.
Bula’bula Arts guarantees all artwork shown is authentic Aboriginal art. Our artworks are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
All bookings are accepted on the basis that you have read, understood and agree to abide, and be bound by, the following Terms and Conditions.
Please be aware that some accommodation offers a different rate for longer stays or at the discretion of Bula’bula Arts.
All bookings must be paid for in full prior to arriving to secure the booking. There are no exceptions. Bula’bula Arts accepts VISA and Mastercard.
Alternatively, you may wish to pay by direct deposit or EFT, please contact Bula’bula for these details. Please ensure your invoice number is used as a reference.
Cancellations must be made in writing and all monies paid are non-refundable.
If there is an extreme circumstance as to why you need to cancel, a refund may be considered at the discretion of Bula’bula Arts.
We will not accept the following reasons, including but not limited to:
- Change of travel plans
- Found alternate accommodation
- Property location isn’t suitable
Please ensure that you have researched the property prior to making your booking.
Extensions cannot be guaranteed and are subject to other bookings in place.
To collect your keys Bula’bula office hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am – 4.00pm, with an hour lunch break during the middle of the day. We are closed on public holidays and weekends. You are able to check in and out on these days however additional fees apply.
If you intend to arrive outside of office hours, you must make prior arrangements with our office. Please be aware that after hours check in and check out fees do apply.
All guests are responsible for the safekeeping of accommodation keys. All keys are to be returned. Any missing keys will be charged to the customer.
Number of occupants and use
All accommodation must only be used for private use and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking confirmation.
No business is not to be conducted at Mona Lodge.
No functions or parties may be conducted at the property under any circumstances. Exceeding the stated number of guests will result in a termination of booking and you being required to vacate the property immediately without refund.
What to bring
Personal requisites are not provided. It is expected that you will need to bring washing powder and personal items.
Mona Lodge – linens and towels are provided.
Duganda – no linens or towels are provided.
All accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that all clients treat the property with the same respect as their own home in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. A clean will be carried out on check out and the cost is included in your total booking amount. If a property is found to be left in an unreasonable state at check out, there may be excess cleaning charges involved. This will be determined on a case to case basis and a member of our team will contact the guest to advise of the excess cleaning.
Tenants and/or visitors shall not park vehicles on the premises, except in specifically designated areas. The tenants are responsible for the behaviour and actions of their visitors whilst on the premises.
No pets are allowed either onto the grounds of the property nor inside the accommodation under any circumstances. Any pets found in accommodation properties will result in a termination of your booking and additional cleaning charges will be made.
Whilst you are in occupation, you are fully responsible for all breakages and damage caused to the property, its furniture fittings, or any consequent loss suffered by Bula’bula Arts. Any such breakages, damage or loss must be reported immediately to Bula’bula Arts and paid for prior to departure. Failure to comply with this condition will result in a debit of any such costs and expenses to your credit card.
Smoking inside premises
There is no smoking inside any of Bula’bula accommodation.
Please remember to take your personal property and belongings with you upon your departure. Bula’bula accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any such items left behind.
Duganda accommodation – electricity is not included in the cost of accommodation, you will be charged separately for all electricity use.
By accepting the booking, you acknowledge and agree that Bula’bula Arts will not be held responsible nor liable for:
- Any injury or loss suffered by the occupants, their invitees or guests whatsoever or howsoever caused whilst I/we are in occupancy of the accommodation due to my/our failure to comply with the Term and Conditions;
- Any injury or loss suffered by the occupants, their invitees or guests whatsoever or howsoever caused due to negligence on my/our /their part.
- Any injury or loss suffered by the occupants, their invitees or guests whatsoever or howsoever caused as a result of insects or wildlife in or around the accommodation site. All occupants are to take specific care at all time and requested not to approach any wildlife under any circumstances.
